Crystal Palace v Liverpool – 31.03.2017 – Betting Tip

With 31 rounds behind us and only 7 remaining before another campaign of the Premier League is complete, Crystal Palace will be hosting Liverpool at their Selhurst Park in the hopes of snatching at least a single point against the powerful Reds and keep moving away from the relegation zone. Liverpool are looking good to win a spot in the next season’s Champions League, with a 7 point advantage over the 5th place Chelsea, while the hosts remain only two points away from relegation and sit 16th in the league, with everything to play for. Check out our betting tips for the match, decide on the best sports betting strategies to apply and make some serious cash on next week’s matchday.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace have had a shaky season filled with ups and downs. A decent string of results in 2017 was interrupted when the new year came around, and the Eagles have managed to lose four of their last five matches, finally beating Huddersfield away in their last game. That said, the team was no pushover even for the likes of Manchester United who had to fight from two behind or Chelsea who also managed to win with only a single goal advantage.

Roy Hodgson’s lads have given it their best to keep up with the rest of the pack and stay in the Premier League for another season, but a difficult schedule over the last few weeks really took its toll.

Salah

Without a single top class striker at this moment, The Eagles are focusing on solid team play and physical readiness, which they certainly don’t lack in. Given their recent results against the Red Devils and The Blues, it would be no wonder to see them score against Liverpool at home either and potentially even give them a run for their money.

Liverpool

Having lost one of their prized possessions in Philipe Coutinho  earlier this season to Barcelona, everyone expected Liverpool to drop in form and start dropping points left and right. However, thanks in a big part to the magical Egyptian Mohamed Salah, The Reds have not been as strong in a long time and their recent exploits in both the Premier League and the Champions League were a thing of spectacle.

With 28 goals scored, Mohamed Salah stands as one of the prime candidates for the Europe’s top goal scorer this season and sitting with 63 points after 31 games, Liverpool look poised for another season of Champions League football.

All of this said, Liverpool have conceded 34 goals in those 31 games, pointing to certain defensive weaknesses that may very well get exploited by Crystal Palace in a home game. The Reds’ away record has also been great, with 27 points won in 15 away games, and plenty of solid away results throughout the season.

Head to Head and Stats

Crystal Palace has been a regular in the Premiership since 2013 and in that time, despite what you might expect, Liverpool have not exactly held over them. In fact, The Eagles even managed to win three times at the Anfield Road, with another home win in the mix as well. Their first matchup of this season came back in August, when Liverpool won with a single goal by Sadio Mane.

Our Tips and Predictions

Given the overall stats of these two teams for the season and their head to head stats, we expect to see a game where no team will be an extreme favorite. The Eagles will likely fight quite valiantly as they have done against other top teams in recent weeks and we think that the best bet for this one is both teams to score priced at 1.75 by the top betting sites in Kenya. Away win with a maximum price of 1.44 seems a bit too low but a draw with prices going up all the way to 5.00 certainly seems like another profitable bet in the long term.
